Our programme of events is twofold, winter and summer.
The winter programme comprises talks, normally given monthly on Wednesday evenings
at Wilmslow Library from September to March, culminating in the Annual
General Meeting. The meetings are notified to all members, who are welcome to
bring guests.
| Tuesday 12th July | Circular walk at Lymm |
| The walk criss-crosses the attractive village with its varied waterside settings. It explores part of the Lymm Heritage Trail, the Bridgewater Canal, the Transpennine Trail and the Slittem Gorge. No severe inclines but cobbles and some muddy patches; stout footwear advised. Participants to bring picnic lunch for half-way halt. Led by David Rutherford. |

| Tuesday 9th August | Guided Tour of St Bartholomew's Church, Wilmslow |
| Led by Birgitta Hoffman, who has played a leading role in recent excavations in and around the church. The tour illustrates many features of her recent talks to the Trust. A charge of £5 per person will be made on the day for donation to the Church restoration fund. | |
| Wed 14th September | Tour of Combermere Abbey and Gardens |
| The owner, Mrs Callander Beckett, will lead us round this complex, medieval and 16th century building which is currently undergoing restoration. It begins at 2pm and lasts about 2.5 hours to be followed by light refreshments. Coach leaves Wilmslow at 11am and will also pick up in Alderley Edge. Cost of coach and tour £21. | Saturday 1st October | Golden Jubilee Lunch |
| at The 39 Steps Restaurant, near the Ship Inn, Styal celebrating 50 years of the Trust. Two course lunch including a glass of wine and a coffee. Will cost £10 to members and £20 to non-members. Deposit of £5 required on application and balance by Friday 21st September. Numbers are limited. |
